 Hey, Stylish!

Weird and unusually beautiful shoes are having a moment this year. Designers are using unconventional materials and silhouettes to enhance the boldness of the nowadays style. I like the notion of wearing the art on your feet… and wearable art itself. The unusual and unique pieces do not necessarily only come from the runway, here are some of my favorite sources for unique and affordable footwear:

  1. Jeffrey Campbell. My favorite shoe designer and beloved shoe brand. Campbell is an  LA based shoe designer that creates quirky, fresh and super trendy heels, flats and platforms. You can see a lot of IT girls wearing his designs. I own around 7 pairs of Jeffrey Campbell shoes and would love to expand my collection.
  2. Poshmark. A platform for recycling your old wardrobe finds online. You can find a lot of unique, vintage or designer shoes there at affordable prices ( spoiler alert: Jeffrey Campbell as well!!!). The best part about it is that you can bargain and propose your own price.
  3. Y.R.U. Another cool and young brand. It is pretty edgy and has a great variety of Lolita, Goth, and rock chic shoe gear.
  4. eBay. This is a no brainer. You can find anything on eBay, including unique and crazy shoes. My favorites are this and that.
  5. DollsKill. A cool website for one of a kind piece for every taste: edgy, flirty, romantic, punk and etc. They also have huge flash sales very often.

Let me know what are your favorite places to buy the inspirational footwear! If you want to find some new inspirations for unique purses, check out my blog post about it.

Happy 4th of July or How to wear a flag

Hey, Stylish!

Happy 4th of July all the stylish people from the US! As you know, it’s a tradition to wear the flag abbreviatures for the celebration and I am so happy to experiment with it. The flag theme has always been the inspiration for many designers and you can notice this trend in Balenciaga‘s and Balmain‘s collections. If you want to adopt this trend in real life, try to use it with a humor and mix it up with accessories (in my case a Breton hat). I think the most interesting inspirations are from:

Victor and Rolf:

Translucent Transperency

4.jpg2.JPG1.JPG3.JPG

Hey stylish!

Summer is definitely time to experiment with colors and textures and learn how to mix them. This season transparent and translucent fabrics is huge trend that would be around for next seasons too. However, not everyone has a courage to wear the translucent top or skirt, and let’s be honest it is not appropriate for work or school. In this look I am wearing my favorite vintage over sized top with mom’s jeans to make it look fresh and sporty rather than “aggressively sexy'” that transparency of fabric can create. I would transition this look to more appropriate for school or any public event by adding a camisole underneath or a crop top. I enjoy this new trend of transparent translucency that could be so translucently transparent!

Here are some inspirations for you from these season translucent trends:

Something Audrey Would Wear

101MSDCF5

Hi Stylish!

There are several fashion icons that would never go out of style. Audrey Hepburn is one of the most elegant, classy and feminine style icons of the 20th century. If you want to try Audrey’s style on you, remember these: crew neck sweater and A-line skirts are your best friends. Audrey was tall enough to ignore heels, but if you are short as I am ( and also look like corgi), heels is a must have. Enjoy Audrey’s inspirations:

Ugly Sweater Competition

Hello my stylish friends!
Since I live in San Francisco, I am lucky to decide what I want to wear regardless the weather. Today I have a winter mood. I have never owned an ugly sweater that is so popular during Christmas time, but I found this fluffy and terrifically trendy sweater, and felt in love with it. Oversized angora sweaters are still on runways. Check out some of my inspirations:

Any Rules?

MuliSONY DSC

Hello my stylish friends!

Here is a controversial question for you: Is there any limits or rules in fashion? Never wear white after Labor day, do not mix pink and red and never wear heels with sporty slacks…Break the rules! Fashion is like art…it does not have any boundaries or rules…It is a matter of aesthetic beauty and harmony. Enjoy some inspirations:

THAT Pair

krossiSONY DSC

Hello my stylish friends!

Could you imagine yourself couple of years ago, wearing tennis shoes with classic coat? I couldn’t. Sneakers have been gym shoes for me until I found THAT pair (the link below). THAT pair reminds me some Kandinsky’s works, which I admire so much. Here is what I am talking about:

“More is better” – my advice regarding tennis shoes that you are going to wear with the  latest trends such as over-sized coats, A-line skirts or slacks. Go crazy, add some color that will spice up your casual outfit and add some color in your life! Here is some inspirations for you:
